Dr. Ye Yuan attended the 2022 China Architectural Culture Forum and delivered a speech
From September 17th to 18th, the China Architectural Culture Forum 2022 and the Academic Annual Conference of the Architectural Culture Academic Committee of the Architectural Society of China were held in Nanjing. The conference was hosted by the Academic Committee of Architectural Culture of the Architectural Society of China, the School of Architecture of Southeast University, and the Research Center for Architectural Design and Theory of Southeast University. Representatives from universities, scientific research institutions, design enterprises, professional media and many well-known domestic experts and scholars from all over the country attended the annual meeting and forum. Yuan Ye, Chief Architect of China Construction Design and Research Institute and Chief Architect of China Construction Engineering Design, was invited to attend the meeting as a member of the Architectural Culture Academic Committee of the Architectural Society of China, and delivered a speech at the Architectural Culture Academic Committee Meeting and the Architectural Creation Roundtable Forum.
The theme of this forum is "The Construction of Academic System of Contemporary Chinese Architectural Culture". Academician Cheng Taining, Academician Cui Kai, Academician Wang Jianguo, Academician Meng Jianmin, Academician Zhuang Weimin, Academician Mei Hongyuan, Zhang Yonghe, Liu Jiakun, Wang Xiaoan, Shao Weiping, Li Xinggang, Zhao Yuanchao, Zhang Pengju, Zhou Kai, Sun Yimin, Ni Yang, Zhang Li, Han Dongqing and other architectural masters, as well as Xia Zhujiu, Liu Kecheng, Zhang Tong, Li Xiangning and other famous architectural scholars delivered keynote academic speeches, respectively from the theoretical and practical aspects of the discussion on the construction of the academic system of Chinese architectural culture.
At the meeting of the Academic Committee of Architectural Culture and the Academic Roundtable Forum on "Cultural Thinking in Contemporary Chinese Architectural Creation", Dr. Yuan Ye expounded his personal views and construction opinions on architectural culture based on his own learning and growth experience and years of architectural creation practice, and put forward in-depth thoughts on issues such as "cultural discovery", "cultural reflection" and "cultural responsibility" in architectural design.
This forum brought together people of insight from various disciplines to discuss the value connotation and future development of Chinese architectural culture in an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural context, and promoted the construction of an academic system of Chinese architectural culture. The thinking and contribution to the development of human civilization contained in it has played a positive role in promoting the establishment of "cultural self-confidence" in China and has substantial and effective significance.
