The BLT Built Design Awards announced the list of winners, and the Hunan Xinhua [Yuanquan Children's Reading Hall Interior Renovation Design] designed and declared by Yuan Ye Studio stood out from many entries in many countries and regions around the world and won the [BLT Interior Design/Public Building Honor Nomination Award].

· About the BLT Architectural Design Award

The BLT Built Design Award recognises professionals and design professionals around the world who have been involved in creating outstanding architectural projects. The awards are held annually to recognise outstanding architectural design projects and individuals with a positive passion for the field of architectural design. The goal is to be the most inclusive platform to raise awareness of the architectural design industry and to focus on all sectors involved in new infrastructure. Past winners include: Zaha Hadid Architects, Studio A+, Tadao Ando Architect & Associates, China Building Standard Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., Southeast University Architectural Design and Theory Research Center and other internationally renowned architectural design firms and well-known domestic architectural design institutions.

· Design Concept

After careful study of the original floor plan and site survey, the architect decided to take advantage of the dense column network and spatial segmentation to implant a new spatial form. Seven white vaults fall above the two rows of columns on the north side, enclosing the columns in the "heavy" arch wall. Bookshelves are embedded in the arched wall to form a "book wall", and this row of spaces is divided into seven small "study rooms", transforming fragmented and impersonal parallel spaces into "spiritual" spaces, accommodating the functions of a children's reading library, and creating a highly recognizable and symbolic learning place.
